People with PPD often distrust others and are often suspicious.
They believe that people are out to get them, hurt then, or take advantage of them. Even during normal everyday conversations, individuals with PPD would think that everything the speaker says carries a negative connotation. They may even view neutral statements or comments as threatening.
That's is a reason why people with PPD always hold grudges. They may seem like they are unable to build relationships, but that's not true. Individuals with PPD tend to get along very well with other people who have the same values and point of view.
Individuals with PPD might occasionally have brief psychotic moments when they are under stress.
Males are more likely to be diagnosed with paranoid personality disorder.
10-30 percent of psychiatric patients have PPD
Treatment:
People may try pschotherapy, antidepressants, and anti-anxiety medications to treat PPD. But this would only work if the patient is willing to coorperate.
Future Prognosis:
I don't think there will be better ways to treat this disorder. Personality disorder is a mental illness so it takes time and hardwork to treat it.
